Choreographer Remo has teamed up with Michael Jackson's elder bro Jermaine for a new album inspired by Mumbai
Choreographer Remo D'Souza made it big with Urmila Matondkar's sexy moves in Rangeela, and more recently, as a reality show judge. But here's the latest shaker. His current dance partner is Jermaine Jackson, King of Pop Michael Jackson's older brother and Big Brother UK participant. The two have come together to work on a video for an upcoming music album, about Mumbai. Conceptualised and styled by Divya Kumar, the song will see Jermaine sport a suave khadi jacket, to add a desi tadka to the song.

Did you pinch yourself when the association came through?
Yes, my God, This is the biggest project of my career. I have been working closely with T-Series for 12 years, and when this offer came my way through producer Bhushan Kumar, I grabbed it.
Does the video pay tribute to Michael's legacy?
The good thing about Jermaine is that his dancing style and way of singing are very close to Michael's. Since they were siblings, Jermaine, too, sings in a similar vein. Since I am a huge MJ fan, choreographing the video was very easy for me. The song is a tribute to him.

Where was it shot?
The video is called Go to Mumbai City, and was shot at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and the Gateway of India. The song features Adnan Sami, too, and takes inspiration from Jackson's "They really don't care about us" track. There is the rustic feel, too, with some slum areas in the frame.
You've been around for many years. How has dance changed as a form since Rangeela?
Earlier, it was only about moving the body. Now we are exposed to Hip-Hop, contemporary, Jazz and Salsa. This is a whole new era of dance in India, and it's very exciting.
We hear you are going to be with your film film, Faltu...
Yes, Faltu is a film about youngsters and it stars Jacky Bhagnani, Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor.
Which Indian actor has given you the least headache on set?
Shahid Kapoor, undoubtedly! I haven't worked with Hrithik Roshan but I am sure he will be a cakewalk. As far as the ladies are concerned, all of them are good dancers.
