From April 14 to 20, the National Safety Council of India will organise its annual Fire Service Week to help you be a fire fighter in your own right
April 14, 1944: A massive explosion went off aboard SS Fort Stikine, a cargo vessel that was filled with ammunition meant for Mumbai. Every year, the Fire Service Week is organised as a tribute to the the hundreds of firemen who lost their lives during this terrible incident that claimed thousands.
This year, the National Safety Council (NSC) has planed an event where the common man will be trained to be fire fighters in a situation till the fire brigade reaches the spot. At this one-day camp, participants will be taught to use fire-fighting equipment and taught about safety statutes.
