Fitness expert Zareen Watson has just two words for us: Boot. Camp. The result? Boot camp is a type of physical training program that was earlier associated with military personnel. It often combines running, interval training, and many other exercises using weights and/or body weight to lose body fat, increase cardiovascular efficiency, increase strength, and help people get into a routine of regular exercise.
As Zareen says, "It is a fairly intense workout. The real edge boot camp has over a regular gym experience is the fact that it's done in a group. People tend to engage in healthy, fun competition and push themselves further than they otherwise would."
Zareen's Boot camp is held indoors, unlike other boot camps. She says that dispels that in a country where weather plays havoc constantly, it is better to have a stable exercise pattern in an indoor environment rather than not to have one at all.
We watched Zareen take this year's Navy Queen winner, Sarvadnya, through five key moves from the boot camp regime that target different areas in the body. Sarvadnya says, "I could see the change in just a week. Plus, you have so much fun doing it you feel great about everything! I'm definitely going to keep it up."
Well, there you have it. Right from the horse's mouth. Ready to start the New Year fit as a fiddle? Sir, yes sir!
All exercises must be continued or held in position for anywhere between 30-45 seconds followed by an equal amount of break time or immediately switching to another exercise. Just like drills in the army! Workout courtesy Zareen Watson; Mode:u00a0Sarvadnya ;
