There will also be a Pledge Desk for citizens to sign and pledge their support for every girl's right to an equal education. The campaign was held across the country to raise awareness on the issue in the run-up to the International Day of the Girl, which will be celebrated on October 11.
The photographs featured at the exhibition are selected from CRY's 40-day national citizen photojournalism campaign aimed at highlighting the issues faced by the Girl Child in accessing her right to education through the medium of photography.
The theme of the campaign - Ichha: A Desire to Learn, captures the countless dreams and aspirations, particularly the desire to learn, attend school and live a happy life that has been denied to thousands of girls across India. Go ahead, give voice to your humane side.
