Dance to the music melange with Nikhil Chinappa
Catch Celebrated artiste DJ Nikhil Chinappa and percussionist Victoria Bourke perform a melange of Electronic Dance Music and rhythmic beats live this Friday. While Nikhil will spin some popular EDM number on the console, UK based percussionist will make everyone sway tou00a0 the rhythmic beats. Victoria's interest in the djembe took her to West Africa, where she stayed and learned to play and teach the djembe.
According to her, the djembe has a tribal and melodic sound, where space is needed for the full depth of this instrument to be heard. The music is so different to that of the sound of the drum, that the djembe simply adds a more organic beat, she feels. She has been experimenting with different genres in different clubs across many countries and is sure about what will work here. So, do not miss this unique performance this weekend.
