The Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) is back in the city and in its tenth edition it promises to surprise you with a line-up of great films, lots of awards and hobnobbing with the who's who of Indian Cinema.u00a0This year, PIFF is showcasing more that 240 films that will be screened at 10 screens across the city.u00a0



A tribute to old hands
A tribute section will screen movies with an aim to pay homage to veteran actors. The movie titled Bhimsen Joshi directed by James Beveridge, Midnight Cowboy -- A tribute to John Barry directed by John Schiesinger and Through the eyes of a painter directed by MF Hussain are some of the must-watch movies.

Reels from home
The Marathi cinema segment will feature movies such as Khel Mandla, Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya and reputed director Gajendra Ahire's Nau Savanau Chi Vel Hoti.
The outstanding contribution to Indian cinema award will be given to Amitabh Bacchan and Asha Bhonsle. Actor, director and singer Sachin Pilgaonkar and music composer Illayaraja will be felicitated at the event as well.

Tawfik Abu Wael's feature offers a snapshot into the emotional upheaval of a Palestinian couple's last moments before leaving voluntarily Jerusalem, their native city, to forge a brighter future in France.u00a0These last days are days of tearing away from home, tearing apart from what they love and falling apart. The film was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival where it was lauded not only by the critics but the masses as well.

Comedian Jaspal Bhatti and other personalities from Indian cinema were involved in the making of the movie. Tina Mba and Chief Remy Ohajianya lead a cast of upcoming Nigerian actors including Daniel Lloyd, Lawrence Akabike, Ani Iyoho and Uche Nwaezeapu (GUS 6 winner) who have all delivered formidable performances. A note from the director says, "We urge you to sit back, relax and enjoy the movie. Tell your friends about it. As for me and my team, we know the bar has been raised. We have put in our best to make this movie. Personally, I will be too nervous to enjoy it because I'll be locked in some prayer house, fervently asking the creator to make you love it."u00a0

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner is an omnibus film featuring the works of three emerging Asian female directors.u00a0



Set at different times with breakfast in Nanjing, lunch in Bangkok and dinner in Singapore, the film presents various facets of love through the eyes of Asian girls from three different countries.
