A newly found bug in the form of a malicious video has been discovered that can cause you iPhone to crash permanently
Apple users beware of this new bug and keep your smartphone safe! A newly found bug in the form of a malicious video has been discovered that can cause you iPhone to crash permanently
This video link has been first reported by EverythingApplePro, causes any iOS device, be it an iPhone, iPad, or an iPod touch, to completely freeze when opened in Safari. Reboot is the only way to get the back the device in working condition. Users of any iPhone model older than iPhone 7 will need to hold the Home and power button at the same time to reboot the system. iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus users need to long press the Home button and the volume down key simultaneously.
The link affects a vast range of iOS versions. Though EverythingApplePro claims that the virus issue does not affect the phone permanently and the device gets back to working mode once it is restarted. Still Apple users need to be careful about the bug intrusion into their expensive devices.
When users tap the link, a 3-second MP4 video opens in Safari. The video link is said to be a corrupted one and can lead to memory leak. The actual problem starts after a few minutes when the phone gradually slows down. Apple is yet to release an update that can fix this malicious link issue.
