Vivo has officially launched its mid-range smartphone V5 Plus at Rs. 27,980 in the Indian market on January 23, 2017. The biggest and rather prime attraction of Vivo V5 Plus is the dual front camera set-up that comes with 20MP+8MP sensor and Moonlight Glow flash. The phone also flaunts a 16MP rear camera, all of which combines to make it a camera centric device.
The 20MP+8MP front camera set-up feature of the smartphone is definitely going to be a hot favourite amongst selfie lovers. The camera has the capacity to capture the object in details and produce sharp clear and bright images. It also offers Depth of Field, a feature which every photographer looks for. Since it is a front facing camera, it even enables users to refocus already captured shots and incorporate blur effects to change the look of the captured image. The front camera also lend 'Bokeh' effect (aesthetic quality of out-of-the-focus) blur to the shot. Some of the other interesting features of the camera are HDR, Mirrored selfie and Watermark.
The 16MP front camera is equipped with LED flash and produces amazing clicks under outdoor lights, or anywhere where there is good lighting condition. Images captured under low light may not be that detailed or sharp. However, the camera has almost all specifications like HDR, Face Beauty, Night mode, Anti-shake, Professional, Timer, Panorama, Touch Capture, Slow, Time Laps, and Voice Shutter, all of which are pre-requisites of a good grain free image.
The phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Both of these combine together to make Vivo V5 Plus a fast performing device. For the convenience of users, the smartphone offers one-handed mode and smart-split technology. Though it comes with 64GB of internal storage, yet some of the pre-installed apps on the device seems to occupy a lot of internal space. However, to enable multi-tasking and loading of heavy files, Vivo V5 plus is packed with 4GB RAM.
It has 3160 mAh non-removable battery that supports fast charging. If the phone gets charged fully at one time, then it can be used for more than a day for different purposes like calling, messaging, playing music and videos and photography. The curved icons for Settings, Phone, Calculator, Music, Recorder and Notes give it a smart classy look. Another added advantage is that it supports 4G, a connectivity option that every smartphone user is now looking for. It also has Dual SIM sockets, Wi-Fi hotspot, and MicroUSB port, all of which makes it a sought after device.
The gold colour gives V5 Plus bright and trendy look and looks good in the hands of both males and females. Apart from the high-end camera arrangement, all other basic and secondary features of Vivo V5 Plus make it a recommendable option at a price tag of Rs. 27,980.
