On offer at Calypso is continental and Italian cuisine with a hint of a Caribbean flavour to some of the dishes. Classic 80s music played for 30 odd minutes by a single performer was sure to give the evening a unique flavour to begin with. The menu is concise, with about five options under each of the categories - soups, salads, risottos and pastas. As for the pizzas, Margarita and Pizza Pesante are all you can pick from.

Let the sunshine in
The new Sunny's to-die-for Italian food and menu remains the same. Thank God for that. What's quite appalling is that the additional new locale in a sleek spacious setting is already seeing a rush of diners, the 'been there, done that' chic crowds. The best was probably yet to come and it did in the form of a decadent Cheesecake with Blueberry Glaze (R 200). A complete divine dessert delight.
