"We want to show people innovative ways to experience the sound of their favourite songs while giving back, as well," reasons Rohan Marley, singer Bob Marley's 40-year-old son, who recently announced the arrival of House of Marley in the city. It's a brand that offers unique, earth-friendly audio products, with the intent to spread the message of unity and peace - it's a vision that his legendary father believed in. To follow suit, the brand will donate 5% of its annual profits to 1Love.org, their family organisation, which will, in turn aid several charitable organisations.
"Our father taught us that everything we do must have a sustainable impact. So, not only do we pay attention to the quality, but also towards its sustainable development and utilisation. It is important to combine our proceeds with non-profit and aid projects," adds Marley.

The brand that was launched in the US two years ago, is present across 32 countries including UK, Belgium, China, Singapore, and now, India. They always wanted to create a niche in the Indian market. "Our products are eco-friendly - we use hemp cotton, wood, soy-based ink and other natural elements such that it is not a burden on the environment. We launched here because we feel connected with this country. So, we didn't want to wait too long before launching it here," shares the dreadlock-sporting Marley.
In India, the brand has launched three collections - Jammin', Freedom and Destiny. There are different designs and products under each collection. Although the brand will focus on audio products now, including in-ear and on-ear headphones and portable speaker docks, they plan to expand operations to cover more products including bags, soon, and will also aim at opening a flagship store in the city.
