Music lovers can look forward to Moojic, a free app for Android and iOS users that enables you to interact with the music playing in store, view the place's music catalogue and play your tracks at your favourite cafes/retail outlets

Have you entered a store or a restaurant and wished you could have a say in the song selection? There's help at hand as a new, free app, Moojic, allows you to interact with the music playing in a store, view the space's music catalogue, and play the music of your choice at your favourite restaurant / retail outlets.

Launched four months back by Neha Behani and Kumaran Mahendra, co-founders of Adonta Mobility Solutions, this is for Android and iOS users. It is inspired by the concept of traditional jukeboxes. Moojic has a presence in 10 cities, across 200 hospitality / retail outlets and has 2,000 users.

Behani explains how the app was created, "We wanted to revive the jukeboxes digitally, while making it more interactive for users and enable hassle-free music management for merchants."

To avail the facility, download it from the app stores (currently supporting Android; iOS will go live next week), check-in from the app in a Moojic-powered outlet that you are at, view the catalogue available at the outlet and press the request button on the song that you want to hear. It will be added to the list.

Kumaran admits that while working on various apps for merchants / locations, they realised its importance for the retail experience. "It can be a major decision-driver in choosing a location to be in. All of us, at some point, have requested the café /restaurant manager to play a favourite track or might have complained about the music in the space."

Available at: Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
