Three musicians are set to make your Friday evening special with their soul-stirring compositions
Eleven East Street will play host to three musicians this Friday when Umang Kapoor (percussionist), Woody (saxophonist and flautist) and Benoy (guitarist) will present The Woody Syndicate and Jam Live. Woody is a western jazz saxophonist and flautist, classical clarinet and piano player, and electronic music artist who started playing the saxophone and flute professionally in 1985.u00a0 Woody's repertoire includes group performances with a wide range of artists, from percussionists Taufique Qureshi and Sivamani to house DJ Ma Faiza and jazz maestro Louiz Banks.
Umang Kapoor plays the congas, djembe and small percussion instruments. Kapoor has been trained under Italian teacher and percussionist Nazareno Vettore and specialises in Afro-Cuban rhythms, Son Montuno, Samba, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Rumba and other Latin American rhythms. Benoy is a guitarist who has done sessions for leading producers like Louis Banks, Vishal Sekhar and Ram Sampat.
