High Spirits is paying tribute to the Funk Rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. Musicians like Bradley Tellis (Vocals), Adrian D'souza (Drums), Kenneth Rebello (Bass) and Vinay lobo (Lead) will play at the gig. RHCP rose to fame in 1983 and their first commercial hit was Blood Sugar Sex Magik which sold up to 17 million copies. This American band was a rage among teenagers and has won seven Grammy Awards. Vinay Lobo says that his early memories of the band are of their first album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. "Some of their music was so amazing with contemporary format, sound and raw guitar. It was a superb experience listening to their music." It is difficult to pay tribute to bands musicians idolise, feels Lobo. At this gig, music lovers will get to hear 18 popular tracks from their first albumu00a0-- One Hot Minutes, By the Way and many from their other albums. For a band which follows RHCP's music, even the change of line up doesn't matter. "You never know you might start liking the guitarist. As long as they are true to their music nothing matters," adds Lobo.

The menu includes Kong Pao Chicken, Pot Stickers, Prawn Siew Mai and Sichuan Poached Chicken and a lot more. Hemant Mehta, Executive chef, Hyatt Regency says that the reason they have chosen Schezwan is because it matches Indian taste buds. "People in that region have lots of red chillies and spices which is similar to India. If we had selected some other festival people might not have liked it because they may not have been able to understand the taste." He adds that guests will be able to enjoy the dishes in both a-la-carte and buffet options. It's not just the spices but many ingredients are similar including coriander leaves and cummin seeds.
