A chuckle leaves your lips when you find yourself at Roxbury, a recent addition to GK N block market'su00a0 long list of restaurants.u00a0

Priyank Sukhija, Manish Talwar and Alen Hrustic, the boys behind the venture will unabashedly tell you that the place is inspired by 1998 comedyu00a0 flick 'A Night at the Roxbury'. But the humour ends there. The three boys take their work a little too seriously thanu00a0 the film's comics Will Ferell andu00a0 Kris Kattan.

Before summer gobbles it up
The place is spread over two floors and urban chic in approach. The terrace exudes a lounge mood, I have always enjoyed. But the summer heat gobbles up this space pretty fast rendering it almost useless in the afternoons. The black and purple floor below gives a retro feel. Comfortable and classy, however the weather might be outside.u00a0

Steak n shake
The menu is limited and that trust me, is a blessing at times. How many of us have spent valuable time mulling an extensive menu only to settle for our favourites at the end. Roxbury serves cocktails, mocktails and alcoholic shakes. Its special isu00a0u00a0u00a0 Vodka flavoured with sweetened green apple and a dash of squeezed lemon. Nothing new but simple and effective. Another one which needs mention is their mocktail the Strawberry kiss (strawberry and basil with crushed ice and soda).u00a0 A bit sloppy like your first school kiss but keeps lingering in your mouth for a long time. I skipped the soups and salads and went straight for the jugular-New Zealand Lamb Chops with Mint and Sherry Zealand, marinated overnight with herbs and grilled accompanied with mint and sherry sauce.u00a0 A dish I would say which reflected the chef's expertise and the owners dedication. The vegetarians should try the Potato Semolina Gnocchi( potato and semolina dumpling served with pink pepper cream). Which thankfully didn't taste like from a freezer but rather an Italian kitchen.

Waiting for godot
My only regret is the sluggish service. A very important factor for a new joint which should rather be bursting with energy. But then we have our good days and bad days. Unfortunately, the customers never forgives the bad one. So, boys pull up your socks fast!
