There may not be an obvious connection between law and art but retired judge and artist Kiran Trimbak Satarkar attempts to bridge the gap. Satarkar turned to art a few years back and has decided to exhibit his work at the Grubshup Art Hub. Around 12 watercolour paintings will be on display including landscape paintings from across the country.

Some of his paintings depict temple towns with devotees thronging around while other artworks capture river banks, the Kashmir landscape, forts and nature. Satarkar took up art as a hobby three years ago. "I started drawing and painting without any formal training. I used to paint things that caught my attention and each painting is special for me," he said.u00a0 Satarkar has been part of group exhibitions four times and this is his first solo exhibition.
