This weekend, don't miss the screenings of Kaphal and Bachchon Se Baatein, two must-watches for children at the Films Division

With the weekend around the corner, and schools shut, it might be a great idea to get kids to enjoy a special screening by the Films Division (FD). As part of their popular Saturday screenings, two films from this year's Golden Elephant award winner for the Best Film, Kaphal and Bachchon Se Baatein, a short film that captures Jawaharlal Nehru's speech for children, willu00a0be screened.

The mischievous kids are thinking of a scheme to oust the father

Kaphal meaning wild berries tells the tale of two mischievous boys, Makar and Kamru who want to get rid of their ‘irritating' father who will be returning home to the scenic valley of Garhwal after five years. Joining the duo are Bupi and Pusu who can't resist being menacing and helping out the brothers. The interesting twist that Ghungra, granddaughter of the village witch gives to the plot will make you and your child hooked to the suspense instantaneously.

It being an FD - Children's Film Society of India (CFSI) collaboration, Kedar Sharma's Bachchon Se Baatein will educate your child of the noughties (2000s) about the first Prime Minister of India (it has a young Rajiv Gandhi fumbling in the background) as he explains how and why CFSI as well as how young minds can be involved. Let the giggling times with kids begin!
