Seeing the world through someone else's eyes is one of the most enticing visual experiences. And that is what Drushtikon, an exhibition featuring city photographers, is all about.
"There is no theme to the exhibition; a group of photographers are coming together to exhibit their best works in the field of photography," said photographer Soumitra Inamdar.
Drushtikon will showcase a total of 93 photographs and the aim of the exhibition is to convey a unique perspective or Drushtikon of the photographer and encourage photography in the city. This is the sixth photo exhibition by Drushtikon.
Says photographer Suhas Desale, "We have photographs from all around the world but the prime focus is on North India. Apart from that, we have portraits from Maharashtra as well. Out of 2,000 images we have selected 95 photos by 55 photographers."
The images include landscapes, portraits, studio images, travel images and local architecture. People from the age group of 15 to 50 have come together to showcase their unique pieces of work.
At the exhibition, each photographer will showcase a maximum of five photographs. The photos are on sale at the exhibition. 50 percent of the sales will be donated to the Vidya Maha Mandir, a home for the hearing and speech impaired.
