Buy the new range of umbrellas by CRY and support various social issues
Here are a few horrifying facts: Ten thousand children die everyday, there are thousands of kids across the country who work as bonded labourers instead of going to school, and some, who do manage to attend a school, have to walk miles on an empty stomach and still have to interact with an unqualified teacher. The NGO Child Rights and You (CRY) has been working towards changing this pitiable situation of children for 32 years.
They believe that every child is born equal and it is a violation of their human rights when they are deprived of all the joys of their childhood.
"We conduct workshops at places like malls all through the year as well as at the Kala Ghoda Festival, where children draw and exercise their Right to Expression through participation. The children who participate are from privileged backgrounds and we raise awareness about children's issues among them. The flowers on the white umbrella is a result of a painting from one of these sessions," said Priya Zutshi, Senior Manager, Media Advocacy at CRY.
Other than the floral umbrella, they also have a black umbrella with a border and an umbrella with newsprint ofu00a0 issues such as protection for the girl child and campaign against child labour, that CRY has been working on. The umbrellas are available online and at their store in Chinchpokli along with various other CRY products.
