Are you the best DOTA 2 player there is? Form a team of five and sign up for this national gaming championship
DOTA 2
The competition started in July with elimination rounds held in Delhi and is now here to select the two best gaming teams for the final showdown that will see gamers from across India compete for the winning prize next month (16 and 17) in Mumbai. Unlike the previous two editions, TEGC is now hosting elimination rounds in four more cities including Hyderabad (already over), Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. The final round will be streamed live on Twitch TV.
Play by the rules
Each team must register online before August 13. A team needs to have five players. Use of any cheats, hacks or exploits are not allowed in play. The gaming mode is Captain mode, and the first team to destroy the opposing team's ancient (main building) wins the round. Wins can also be earned if either team passes a vote to surrender, or all players on a team intentionally disconnect.
The prize
The cup offers a total cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, with Rs 2 lakh for the winner, Rs 80,000 for a second place, and Rs 40,000 for third and fourth places. Each of the teams that qualify for the final showdown will also earn cash prizes.
