DJ/Producer Yves Larock
It's been more than a year since your last visit to the city. What brings you back here?
I have the pleasure to come back to India! I am doing a small tour of 4 dates in India across Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and Bangalore. My management is working hand in hand with a great Indian company that is representing me; so a full tour has been organised and I hope to be able to come again very soon to this place of beautiful people.
From your previous experience, do you feel Mumbai's crowds prefer a different sound compared to the international audience?
The crowd in Mumbai has a very good knowledge of Dance music so I will be able to perform a fresh and new sound because I know that the crowd will follow it pretty well!
What kind of music can we expect from you this time?
Well, I usually follow the crowd... my goal is that every body should be happy during the performance. My job is to please and make the people happy! I will probably perform my latest tracks but will also play a few new promos that I received from friends who are producers.u00a0

Any previously unheard tracks in store for the Mumbai audience?
I will try a couple of new productions that I worked on over the last few weeks. I will surely play the remix If you're Lonely by my Russian friends Swanky Tunes. It is one of my latest tracks. I will also play the new track that I composed with Tony Sylla, titled Viva Las Vegas. And of course, I will test my newest single called The Zoo and then, there's my all-time favourite track, Rise Up!
What are you presently working on?
There are millions of things - I am in the studio working as much as I possibly can, I'm a bit of a studio junkie. There's nothing I love more than locking myself away in the studio, messing with music, pushing buttons, using filters, getting instrumentals down, working with great vocalists and gradually seeing a track come together. I'd probably stay in there all night and all day but I don't think my wife would be very happy about that.
Any plans for collaborations with Indian artists?
Unfortunately, I don't have enough knowledge about Indian artists to plan a collaboration... I'd love to though.
Have you had a chance to listen to any of our traditional or Folk music?
Yes!! Last year, I tried to listen to as much traditional music as possible but this tour will also be my challenge to know more about Indian music.
Have you had the chance to catch up on music or movies from Bollywood?
I watched a few while I was in India last time, I feel embarrassed to admit that I don't remember the names of the movies ... But I appreciated the stories that were genuine - this is not what we getu00a0 to see in Europe.
According to you, what music genre will shape the music or the Club music industry over the next couple of years?
Electro and even Vocal House will return - Trance Music is influencing a lot House/ Dance music. I like this very much because it's more
musical.
Apart from the music what are you looking forward to in the city?
Curry, of course... also sightseeing and there is another detail that makes me happy: I have heard that the winter in India isn't too cold. I will be leaving Switzerland, there at the moment it's full winter it's -5 degrees with a lot of snow ... I am really looking forward to seeing the sun in India.
