As we mark the eve of the winter solstice with Lohri on January 13 and welcome the transition of the sun to the Makar rashi with Makar Sankranti on January 14, a weekend of celebrations await you at Chokhi Dhani.u00a0With double celebrations knocking at your door, the Chokhi Dhani Village has a number of events lined up from January 13 to 15.u00a0
Guests will be welcomed with kites which they can fly in the open lawn followed by authentic bhangra performances by a Punjabi dance troupe in the evenings.u00a0"Even though we are an ethnic Rajasthani set-up, we celebrate each and every festival celebrated across India," says Abrar Kalburgi, General Manager, Chokhi Dhani Village, Pune. "Since we are celebrating Sankrant and Lodhi together on our premises, we promise that it will be double the fun," he adds.

The menu will be a blend of traditional delicacies from Rajasthan, Punjab and Maharashtra. It will include favourites such as Kadi Kachori, Bhajiya, Tikkis and Garma Garam Chai for snacks and over 20 main course items.u00a0
"On special occasions and festivals, we mix cultures and cuisines. We have included popular items such as Chole Masala, Dal Makhni and other dishes, which will be cooked in a traditional manner unlike what is served in restaurants nowadays," says Kalburgi.
Once the darkness sets in, a bonfire will be set up to ring in the feel of the harvest festival.u00a0The package per head is priced at Rs 500 for adults and Rs 350 for children, between three to nine years old and it u00a0includes unlimited food and drinks as well as an evening of fun and frolic in true rustic style.
