Audi is celebrating the performance of the teams that represented Audi India at the Twin Cup 2016. Held in Algarve, Portugal, the 21st edition of the event recently concluded and witnessed the participation of 71 teams from 36 countries.

The Audi Twin Cup is an after-sales world championship which sees the brand's global service and customer relations divisions compete. The competition's international finale involves theoretical and practical exams that simulate typical work situations in the daily operation of a dealership. This year, the participants also demonstrated their knowledge on an Audi Q7 e-tron - the plug-in hybrid version of the German automaker's flagship SUV, among other models.

Comprising members from Audi Gurgaon, Audi Ludhiana and Audi Mumbai South, the Audi India team secured 4th place in the Technology category. Competing dealerships in the Service category included Audi Chandigarh, Audi Kochi and Audi Mumbai West, with the team securing 8th place. In the twin category of Technology and Service, these teams scored 8th rank overall. The teams representing Russia came in 1st, while the teams from Audi's homeland, Germany, came in 2nd. Audi China secured rank 3.

"Our teams displayed outstanding technical know-how and consistent customer focus, this honor validates our strength in the after-sales service in India. We have invested extensively in training and our initiatives over the years for strengthening our service levels have worked wonders. It is a matter of great pride for us that Audi Twin Cup has recognized the customer service excellence of Audi India teams.", said Joe King, Head, Audi India.
