There are many versions of Chess but we are fans of Chess Free (AI Factory Limited) for offline games and Chess Online (Cloudroid) that allows you play against users from around the world. Both are available for free and among the top-ranked games of Chess. Tall Chess by Friends of the Web, LLC is available for free on iOS. It comes with great graphics and the option to challenge your friends.
Reversi
You can add a dash of colour to your collection of strategy board games with the digital adaptation of the 19th century strategy game Reversi (AI Factory Limited), also known as Othello. Reversi costs Rs 86.85 on Play Store, but there is a free version with ads available as well. There's another game called The Othello as well, but we are not sure how good that is. Whether you are at a friend's place or have guests over, download any of the popular board games like Ludo, Snakes and Ladder, Scrabble, Monopoly and Game of Life to get the evening rolling. You might have to loosen your digital wallet for a few - Monopoly (Rs 120) and Game of Life (Rs 60) - but Scrabble, Ludo Parchis Classic Woodboard and Snakes and Ladder (by Sudhakar Kanakaraj) are free. For iOS users, we recommend the Ludo by TOP APP d.o.o. It's free and feature a minimalist design.
Splendor
Build your reputation as a jewel trader with the Splendor app (Rs 130 on Android and Rs 420 on iOS). Apart from the challenges of the board game, the app comes with a new Challenge mode, which allows you to challenge your competitor to achieve a goal. Currently, there's a 70 per cent discount on the Android app.
PatchWork THE GAME
Developed by Digidiced, the same guys behind Le Avre, quilting has never been this fun as it's with PatchWork The Game (Rs 227.99 on Android and Rs 190 on iOS).
Though we aren't a fan of the sewing art, it is a fun app for the monsoons, especially to gift to someone with an inclination towards the art of quilting.
