Windows 10 is finally on its way. After a few initial delays and several rumours of postponement, Microsoft's Windows 10 will be available to the masses globally from July 29. The best thing is Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users will get a free update to the new OS. From what we have seen so far in developer builds, the OS has been impressive.
It has gone through several positive changes including a new desktop (and web) search engine, Cortana built right next to the Windows start button, a completely new browser, called Edge and the music player Groove.
Besides, users can choose between a desktop style and tablet style display - each customised to suit the respective device types. There is also a new notification icon built in the system tray, that offer one touch access to all wired and wireless connections and system settings.
Unfortunately, there are still few bugs making news around, including conflicts with third party drivers. Let's hope all is fixed before the OS finally rolls out on July 29.
