Tambdi Jogeshwari temple
The Tambdi Jogeshwari temple is considered to be the oldest temple in Pune. It was built by Trimbak Bendre in 1545. The original temple was quite small and surrounded by farms. During the nine nights of Navratri, women go to take darshan of the goddesses and on Dasara people go visit with their families, in the evening. Swapnil Mote, committee member of the Tambdi Jogeshwari temple, said "The Palakhi of the goddess will be taken out at 10 am on Dasara and will go around Laxmi Road and Budhwarpeth. Men come for darshan in the evening on Dasara; on other days, it's mostly women who come. In the evening darshan can be taken till 11 pm."

Moreover, a huge procession is planned from the temple (5 pm onwards). Thousands of devotees are expected to take part in the procession. Traditional Folk performers who play Vaghya-Murali are accompanied by Dhol and Lejhim groups in the procession. Flowers are showered on the devotees from a chopper.
