The wet look is out
The Male Look: Whether it is short cropped hair or longer mane, it needs to have lots of texture and movement with styling mainly consisting of dry looks, said art director Shackya Nanda. It is created using products like clays, matte putty and waxes. Wet look is totally out as with the humid weather, you don't want to have something sticky on hair.u00a0
The Female Look: "For women, the geometric shapes dominate the scene with sharp cut lines with definite texture and fabulous colour shades to enhance the texture of the hair. Also disconnected layers are preferred by young girls to give volume and to add funk," added Nanda.

The halo-style haircut

Go wild with colours
The Male Look: City-based hair stylist Pooja Sharma advises men to opt for a medium short spiked look with a scrunched back and short sides. It's best to work with neutral base shades. Her inspirations for the same are Taylor Lautner of Twilight Fame and actor Imran Khan.
The Female Look: Sharma proposes women go for wild colours such as blues, greens and pinks with short layers on the crown adding volume for the perfect look. It is inspired by the singing sensation Lady Gaga and popstar Avril Lavigne. "For the glamorous look, opt for bright reds and subtle hazel browns such as what Eva Longoria from Desperate housewives fame sports," said Pooja Sharma.

Get a halo
The Male Look: It is inspired from the Mad Men TV series. "Men's hair is cleaner and sharper through the outline. The hair on top is left longer for versatility in styling. Aamir Khan has sported a variation of this haircut," says Adhuna Bhabani Akhtar, Creative Director, B:blunt.
The Girls Look: This hair cut is inspired from the halo-like hair styles of the 60s. The round outline shape of the hair frames the face while the curls and internal texture softens the overall look. "No one in the Hindi film industry wears this yet but Hale Berry from Hollywood has worn this look often. This look can be dressed up or down according to the occasion," added Akhtar.
