While the rest of the world will be dancing the night away as the year draws to an end, students of Nrityalika Dance Institute will be performing a dancing feat of a different kind.

For the last 24 years, students of the academy have been performing a non-stop 12-hour-long dance marathon, on every New Year's eve. The performance has been choreographed under the guidance of the director of the institution, Kishu Pal, who is a dancer herself.

At the event this year, Pal has selected 350 students from different branches of the institute, spread across Maharashtra and choreographed the dance pieces with them.

The students will present 115 types of classical, folk and other Indian dance forms. So, if grooving to a DJ is not how you want to bring in the New Year, you know where to
head to.
