German auto giant Volkswagen has begun the recall process for the Skoda Superb, in light of the global diesel emission controversy. The production of the previous generation Skoda Super was stopped due to the questionable 2.0-litre EA 189 diesel engine installed inside it

German auto giant Volkswagen has begun the recall process for the Skoda Superb, in light of the global diesel emission controversy. The production of the previous generation Skoda Super was stopped due to the questionable 2.0-litre EA 189 diesel engine installed inside it.
The only way this engine was able to pass emission tests in the United States and Europe was due to a cheat device that inside it.
According to reports, the recall process has already begun with Volkswagen approaching Indian customers. Interestlingly, VW sales in Europe have largely been unaffected.
