The city sees its first Food & Wine show, which will culminate with a grape-stomping festivalAfter hosting 11 successful shows in Mumbai, food, wine and style magazine Uppercrust will now host their Food & Wine show at The Westin Koregaon Park. Farzana Contractor, editor, Uppercrust, will host the event hailed as one the country's finest gourmet exhibitions.
The UpperCrust Show will bring together the finest national and international vintners and distillers, as well as big names in the food industry, including chefs, restaurateurs, critics and celebrities known for their love of food. The three-day event will also feature products and services available in the food and beverage industry, apart from an eclectic range of brands from around the world.
Cooking demosThe event will include cooking demonstrations and competitions, allowing well-known chefs to display their culinary skills. The festival will kick off with a pastry demo conducted by Sous Pastry Chef Pradeep Persoya from The Westin Pune, Koregaon Park.u00a0
Contest for chefsOn Saturday at 4.30 pm, you can join celebrity chefs as they battle it out in the Mystery Basket Cookery Contest, in which they will have to whip up a dish from the basket of ingredients handed over to them.
Chefs expected to participate in the contest include Santosh Jori of The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, Anthony En Yuan Huang from Ista Pune; Hemant Mehta from Hyatt Regency Pune, Shailendra Kekade from Stone Water Grill and Ravish Arora of Polka Dots.
Festivities will conclude on Sunday in the unspoken tradition of any food and wine show: the grape-stomping festival that will include members of the Uppercrust team and staff
from The Westin Koregaon Park, Pune.
