Interesting features on WhatsApp
- Video calling: WhatsApp rolled out this feature recently for Android, iOS and Windows users. Android and iOS users need to update WhatsApp from Google Play or iStore to use the video calling feature on their mobile platforms.
- Video Streaming: All these while a user had to wait for a shared video to download completely before they could play the same on their smartphones. With the video streaming feature being incorporated in WhatsApp, users can watch the video even when it is in the downloading phase.
- Convert videos into GIFs: GIF images are a popular fun element when it comes to chatting. All these while, a user could only share those GIF images which are shared on WhatsApp, but now they can create it too. Now WhatsApp users can convert short video clips into GIF images and share it with their friends through the application. Other options like adding of texts and emojis are also available on WhatsApp.
- Animated GIF support: In WhatsApp, users can send a GIF file with the help of attach file button. On pressing the âAttach File' button, user will get directed to the Gallery on their device. From there, users can find the GIF image and before sending it across they can crop the image according to their preferred size. This feature is different compared to the above mentioned âConvert videos in GIF' feature.
- Image editing: This is very popular amongst photo and social media buffs. They simply love to make their photos more innovative by changing colour, cropping, adding texts or including frames. Now this image editing feature is available on a number of messaging applications including WhatsApp. In the application itself, users can now edit, add text and emoji on their photos and share the same with their friends.
- Recalling and editing messages: Next time when you send a message intended for your girlfriend mistakenly to someone else on WhatsApp, relax as you may be able to revoke such messages in the near future. WhatsApp has reportedly added the features to revoke and edit the sent messages in a beta version testing. Users will be able to edit only recent messages and not the old ones.
