Lotus Eye Hospital run by Lotus Hospitals Trust was set up at Juhu in Mumbai with a mission to provide quality eye care to visually impaired patients from different economic segments of the society at affordable prices. We provide our dedicated team of Ophthalmic surgeons with the latest state of the art medical equipments to keep up with the pace of technological advancement and to enable them to provide best treatments to the patients.
To provide eye care services not only in treating patients suffering from refractive errors and cataract, but also from other eye impairments and disorders, we have set up sub-speciality clinics like retina, glaucoma, cornea, occuloplasty and pediatric ophthalmology. LOTUS brand aims to provide all kinds of eye treatment under one roof. We now have almost one lakh footfall of patients annually.
During our growth we always believed that our outcome has to be benchmarked with quality standards which alone can send away our patients satisfied and who in turn can become our LOTUS brand ambassadors. With this objective, we worked on our processes at different levels to obtain NABH accreditation at entry level.
It has always been our social endeavor to render equal treatment to the paying and the indigent patients. We never compromise on our standards of clinical treatment to the indigent patients. This is a vision behind the LOTUS brand for impacting lives, and hence, we cultivate in our Doctors and paramedical staff, the need to exercise compassionate and ethical responsibility towards patients.

We also have in our wing the Lotus College of Optometry turning out every year more than 30 qualified optometrists who are much needed by eye hospitals and optical shops.
Due to the pandemic, our operations have been severely affected. But we took quick steps to introduce proper Covid protocols and exercise adequate safey measures to win back the confidence of our patients.
We believe that holistic approach for any organization is indispensable in its mission to achieve sustained growth and continued improvement in its performance and delivery of services. This is much true for eye care institutions working for social and economic cause of elimination of avoidable blindness. Our core value has thus been in the holistic development of our hospital. Towards this end, we also believe in encouraging other hospitals to adopt this holistic approach and hence the Lotus Eye Hospital, Mumbai, has instituted an annual award the LOTUS award under the auspices of the VISION 2020 Foundation who appoints a distinguished jury to decide the awardee in the field of eyecare. The purpose of the LOTUS award is to inspire eye care organizations to institutionalise eye care for the community and to focus on development and growth along with making eye care available, accessible and affordable.
It has been a deeply fulfilling personal experience in managing the Lotus Eye Hospital as it gives the satisfaction of creating a social impact. It has made me realize that you get truly blessed when you serve patients in need and that is the greatest wealth and enrichment you can achieve in life.
