Let the girl child grow and fulfill their dreams - Akmal Ali Khan

On the land where goddesses are worshiped and girls are considered as their shadows, it's heartbreaking to see they are not allowed to get a proper education, says Akmal Ali Khan.

Akmal Ali Khan is a social worker. He was also elected as the 4th president of the student union in Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Akmal possesses all the qualities of a leader from the starting.

He had a clarity in his vision, that what are the goals that he wanted to achieve after he came into power.

He is also decisive. Once he makes up his mind what he wants to do, what steps need to be taken he doesn't hesitate to do so.

He is courageous and ready to do it all without hesitating for a moment about anything. And ofcourse he was passionate about his goal to become the president and do it all for the well-being of the people.

He has brilliant communication skills, undoubtedly, he is a great speaker and those skills worked in his favor and he was successful to touch the heart of many. He used these skills to make a difference in society. All great works start on a small scale one can't see difference overnight.

He is working hard to change people's mentality and to let the girls in their homes study further. He says that as time has changed there are many names of females in the list of top successful people. He spoke out and requested people not see their daughters as liability. He further added if one really wants to make the future of their daughters bright one should let them study.

He said dowry is another evil added to the cause. Parents think it's better to save money for their girl's marriage then to invest in their education. He guided them to do the opposite. Make your daughters eligible enough so that they don't rely on anyone. Make them independent so that they can take care of themselves. In this generation females are doing as good as males. If a female can do this undoubtedly, she can look after her parents as well. He guided the people about the policies of government for girl's education and asked them to join them which will help their daughters for higher studies.

He believes in the policy if change begins at home. The girl children of his household are sent to good schools. There is no differentiation between them.

In his opinion it's important for the people to change their perspective that has been ruling their minds since ages. One should let others grow and live their dreams.
