Mahetik Entertainment to come up with a single for Ganesh Chaturthi

From organising events, to making short films and full length feature films, Mahetik Entertainment has successfully ventured into various platforms with ease. Started by Mamta Shah and Pratik Shah the company is known to plan, promote and nurture new talent.

The duo are now venturing into music album with a Ganpati song titled Jai Ho Maha Ganpati, "The idea was always going to venture into music albums and we couldn't think of coming out with a better song. This is our first single and we decided it should be dedicated to a god who is celebrated across the world. We all pray to Lord Ganesha and this is our tribute to him," says Mamta.

Divulging more details about the song, Pratik says, "It is a bilingual song. 70 per cent of the song is in Marathi and 30 per cent is in Hindi. It is a very peppy number which can be played during the agmaan (arrival) or visarjan (farewell) of Ganapati. The music has a lot of dhol tasha and it is a number that we often hear during the Ganpati procession."

The music is composed by Aaditya Barve, the lyrics are written by Mandar Cholkar and it is sung by Gaurav Chati. The song will be choreographed by Matin Shaikh.
Mamta says that they feel blessed to record Jai Ho Maha Ganpati. "Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival of happiness and love. Through this song, we are appealing to Ganpati Bappa to protect the world and bring back happiness. The track will resonate with devotees of Bappa. During the festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi, we often chant ‘Ganapati Bappa Morya' and this is our ode to him. It has been a wonderful experience to create this song. It was indeed a fulfilling experience."

Pratik says that they plan to release the song on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi which falls on September 10 this year. "We have yet to shoot the video of the song. In Mumbai, Khetwadi is famous for the festival. There are various lanes in that locality and we are trying to recreate that with the video. Since there are many restrictions with shooting due to the pandemic, we are looking at all the logistical options available. We plan to shoot the song in the first week of August."

Apart from the single, Mahetik Entertainment has produced Games Of Karma, a film which is coming soon on one of the leading OTT platforms. Directed by Praveen Hingonia the action thriller features Pratima Kazme, Jeetu Shastri, Arina Dey, Rahil Azam, Gyan Prakash, Swati Bakshi, Hiten Tejwani, Kenisha Bhardwaj Praveen, Hingonia, Himani Sharma and Paritosh Sand.
