India has always seen brilliance in the field of literature. From the likes of Arundhati Roy, Shashi Tharoor, and Sudha Murty, to a lot of new names like Richa Kumari, Anindita Das, and Jagjit Rana, Indian literature is in safe hands.

Richa Kumari

Richa Kumari aka Richa Kashyap daughter of Bihar, has added another feather in her cap. Richa has written a book called "THOSE FALLEN BREADCRUMBS" published by Notion Press. This book shows a mirror to the society and it is for those people who have forgotten their own dreams in life and accepted the path shown by others as their reality. The purpose of this book is to change the mindset of the society so that the younger generation can choose the path that makes them happy and not the path that makes others happy. It will take all of us again back to their memory lane when we too were in a similar confusion. Richa Kumari has many feathers in her cap,she went to NASA in 2013 and has brought laurels to India by participating in the robotics competition there. After graduating as an Electronics engineer from BIT Mesra in 2014, Richa is a senior manager at a London-based multinational. She has made the country proud by winning the title of Mrs. Asia Universe in 2020 and she is currently pursuing her MBA from IIM Raipur.

Anindita Das

Anindita started her journey as an author with the Amazon bestseller ‘What The Pandemic Learned From Me'. Her book glorifies the immense power of little distractions in the times of uncertainty and dishes out therapy-level letters replete with her personal experiences and observations. This compilation of the author's memories along with her satirical take on many social foibles, switches structures frequently but never sinks into a jarring narrative. You are taken on a ride of happy nostalgia, recounting the recipe recommendations for banana breads, villa hunting in Goa, work from home stories, quarantine start-up plans and so much more. And without even realising it, you are moved to internally assess the lives you have lived since the pandemic.

Das belongs to that rare breed of contemporary writers, who deliver witty truisms effortlessly in a language that resonates well with both light and avid readers. Filled with rare humorous insights into human behavior during the pandemic, her words chart fresh territory in bringing alive its familiar and endearing experiences.

Being a Senior Creative Director, Das writes for brands that are household names world-over. As a collateral, she often switches between her multiple personalities - that of a top mobile brand to a warm hospital to a young airline to a hip fashion brand to an Indian masala, amongst others. She has also written for popular sites like Zee News, Writer's Asylum, ScoopWhoop and The Thumb Print amongst others, her content ranging from travelogue to poetry to social commentary. Her Instagram account @thisis.anindita is another place where you can enjoy her signature humorous writing.

She hails from Guwahati, remembers Delhi fondly, dreams a lot about Austria, and tolerates the window view of her lockdown home in Bangalore. She lives happily with her telephonic husband, imaginary pet and a few dead plants.

Jagjit Rana

A Father's Outlook by Jagjit Rana is a book basically about a father's perspective on parenting. The role of mothers changed in modern India, and so has the role of fathers. The modern mothers are too stressed and stretched taking care of her profession and household, the father needs to don the role of "another mother". This needs to be accepted and communicated to the world. As father's we need to be emphatic and appreciative about the contribution of mothers and need to complement and support her in any of the ways possible. The varied topics discussed in this book are out of actual experience with utmost forward thinking attitude. It is not a guide book for a perfect father, but a mere food for thought. It covers the topic which starts with choosing the right partner and travels through the journey of parenthood till the teenage. Some of the topics are of wider perspective and elaborate on logical thinking which should be taught to kids without any discretion. The phenomenal journey of parenthood has been a roller coaster, and the same has been depicted. Sometimes we are right, and sometimes we know what is right.

Jagjit is a professional automobile designer having dual Masters degrees in Design (IIT Delhi) and Management (SIMS Pune) with a background in mechanical engineering. Married for 18 years, he has two sons. Being interested in reading has always cherished the dream to write. What better topic to write about rather than to jot the experiences of life?
