The survey conducted by Research Now, found that reflecting the growing popularity of social media and the Internet, around 53 percent of the single Americans said that they used online dating, and 56 percent said they rely on the Internet for advice, rather than a trusted friend or confidant, New York Daily News reported.
The poll, which was released by Oxygen Media, also found that 57 percent of men say that they would go on a second date after having sex on a first date, while only 28percent of women say the same thing.
It was suggested that 90 percent of Latino and African-American women, and 85 percent of white respondents said they were ok with having a future partner of a different race than their own.
The online survey also found that 80 percent of the 833 people questioned said that they would be fine with a future partner practicing a different religion than their own.
It was claimed that 68 percent of men revealed that spotting a moustache on a woman is the top deal-breaker.
