Unfortunately, the marriage did not work out. Now my girlfriend's parents think marrying a divorcee again will result in disaster for her as well. My girl is trying to convince her folks but they seem to be adamant.

Dear Abram,
Their fears are justified because the daughter's happiness is of utmost happiness to them. It is a case of bad history so they want to be safe, rather than sorry. It appears they are still hurt about what happened to their younger daughter. Your girlfriend is doing her best to convince them, so give them time. It will take a while but I am sure they will give in if given some time for them to understand that you are a good guy. They want happiness for their daughter and I am sure they will give you'll their blessings.
Diana will solve it!
