The country's first condom bazaar allows you to be discreet about your contraceptive needs and even offers expert advice on condom usage
It might be seven years since Mallika Sherawat's character in the Bollywood film Khwahish 'boldly' walked into a pharmacy to buy a pack of condoms, but India continues to remain bashful about its contraceptive needs.
Condomking.in, which calls itself the country's first online condom bazaar, allows users the option of shopping for condoms from their bedroom.
Choose from different condom brands (Kamasutra, Love Light, Moods) and types (ribbed, dotted, extra pleasure) with the guarantee that the products comply with international standards. They also stock glow-in-the-dark-condoms from Europe (Rs 240) or 'delay' condoms "to keep you going all night" (prices range between
Rs 20 and Rs 125).
Ramesh Srinivas, founder and president of Bonne Sante Healthcare, launched the site to concentrate on the contraceptive industry for both men and women.
The products are categorised by name, category and brand. At the time of checking the site, products are yet to be registered under the 'female' and 'fantasy' condom categories. Though the site owners promise that there will be something for every shape, size and taste.
The Internet portal also has a controlled blog and an online chat forum for users, who can exercise the option of staying anonymous.
Users can also provide feedback or post doubts to the online customer care service. For advice or health concerns related to condom usage and/ or other contraceptive products, users can ask to be put in touch with a medical expert. All queries will be treated in strict confidence, assure the site owners.
An FAQ section addresses common questions on registration and data protection. All major payment methods are accepted. Time to say cheers to safe browsing and safer sex?
