Dear Diana,
I am 21. I saw her for the first time at a bus stop in August. I was late for my usual bus and I saw her. And I felt some thing strange and lovely when I saw her. I've never had such a feeling for any girl. I started going late deliberately every alternate day so I could see her. I didn't tell her anything but I think she got the hint that something is fishy.
I feel very sad, because I think I really started to love her. After meeting her, my feelings for her have become more intense but I don't know how to tell her. I respect girls and the way they think, but I want some idea how to tell her and make her understand that I truly love her.

Dear Friend,
I think you scared her off. You really should've played it cooler. I think you had it right for a while. You spoke to her and she replied. You should've left it at that for a while, then perhaps smiled at her a few times. Or been engrossed in a book some other time, and not noticed her.
Or you could've chatted with other people on the route. When you singled her out, she probably got suspicious. Also, in stead of asking her name, you should've just introduced yourself, and left it to her to tell you her name. Maybe she is not interested? Perhaps she already has a boyfriend? Youu00a0 think you have fallen in love with this girl, but you don't even know her name. Be a little realistic please.
Don't do anything yet. Don't change your bus again, or you'll make things worse. Be patient. If she returns, wait for a few weeks then casually tell her that you are sorry you scared her and that wasn't your intention. Also start talking to other people who take the same bus, so she doesn't feel you have an agenda. Maybe she will thaw once she feels you are not stalking her.u00a0
Girlfriend or glasses?
Dear Diana,
I am 21. Contact lenses just don't work for me due to some trouble in my eye, but my girlfriend insists I should wear them or go in for surgery, but I should not wear glasses. She says she won't be seen with me till I get rid of the glasses. What do I do?
Manish
Dear Manish,
Get rid of your girlfriend darling, not your glasses. You need to be with someone who loves you for who you are and not a superficial girl like this one. She wants you to go through surgery so that you don't have to wear glasses. Tell her you don't like her nose, and won't date her, till she gets surgery, and see what she says.u00a0
Exams laayi pyaar mein daraar...
Dear Diana,
I am a Mumbaikar. Two months ago, I met a girl from Jaipur via Facebook. She was a divorcee when we first started chatting. We exchanged mobile numbers and then she started calling me.
A few days later, I proposed to her and she accepted me. For the past few days, I have been studying for my exams and I was unable to answer her calls. She got angry and ditched me. I can't stay without her. I love her a lot. How do I bring her back into my life?

Dear Friend,
Are you serious? You proposed to a woman, you've never met before? Committing to someone that you'll be with them is a HUGE step. You just can't pop the question to anyone. Even when you know someone for years, until you get married, you never know their true nature, and here you are aching to be with a woman, who you know nothing about.
How do you even know that anything she has said to you is true? She could've lied about everything. Please wisen up. The decision to settle down in a hurry will only lead to a divorce in a hurry. You don't even know if the FB picture is real. Go meet her and then decide your next step.u00a0u00a0
