Hubby of '50 Shades' author says Christian Grey not based on him

'Fifty Shades of Grey' author EL James's husband Niall Leonard has set the record straight on speculations that the erotic novel's central character is inspired by him

He has said that the racy book protagonist Christian Grey cannot be based on him, as he is nothing like him.

"It's a fantasy, it's certainly not based on me,'" the Daily Mail quoted him as saying on British TV show âDaybreak.'

"In fact perhaps being married to me helped her to fantasize about someone more interesting.

"You are talking about a chap with a 32 inch waist and helicopter pilot licence so it's certainly not based on me," he added.
