I am 23 and don't have a girlfriend

Dear Diana,
I don't have a girlfriend yet. My friends mock me saying that I must be a closet gay when the reality is that I'm just clueless about how to ask a girl out. I'm quite sure that I'll ruin the day by opening my mouth and saying something stupid. I have started liking a girl in our office and I'd love to spend more time with her. How do I go about it?

Dear Aaron,
First things first. You are only 23 and don't a girlfriend. Just because your pals have one, does not make you gay. Also, there is no rulebook about how to woo a girl. Each person is different and everyone's love story is distinct too. Just take things easy and don't fall to peer pressure. If you have taken a liking for a girl in your office, strike a conversation about office matters. I am sure there is lots to discuss about the boss, colleagues to the quality of the food and tea/coffee. Initially stick to office issues and after a while ask her out perhaps at a cafe or restaurant. But go slow and don't overdo it.u00a0
