I'm in love with an older woman

Eventually I confessed my love for her which she reciprocated. We are going out but this relationship hasn't been approved by my friends yet, let alone my family. My mom is furious at my choice of life partner. I don't know how to confront any of them. I thought they'll be happy for me but none have said anything positive with regards to my love life. I don't see anything wrong with me when it's perfectly fine for a man to go out with a much younger woman.

She is a decade older to you and there is a kid in the picture too. You may be in love with her but life won't be easy if you plan to take the relationship to the next level. It is obvious that your parents and friends will object. No doubt there are cases of older women and younger men tying the knot.
