Dear Diana,
I'm a retired old man who spends most of his days doing nothing but reading newspapers, magazines and watching TV. I lead a simple life and survive on my pension and savings. I don't have a family as I never got married. I regularly go for a walk twice a day and love to visit art shows. I have recently met an old lady who is also single. We have hit it off well, chatting about life, old age and memories. We've been meeting each other and I think she likes me too. She, too, comes from a corporate background like me so it's nice to talk about things we share interest in. I want to ask her whether she'd consider moving to my place and we can spend the rest of our lives together. But at the same time I don't want to get rejected.

Dear Mudo,
As they say it is never too late. You were destined to meet your life partner at this late stage in life. Age, as they say, is a mere number. If both of you have clicked, why worry about anything else? But at the same time tread slow. Why not invite her for a cuppa at a coffee cafe? Or visit an art gallery together. You can then gauge her reaction and accordingly make your next move. You will have to broach the subject cautiously and then see her reaction. She may be wary about living in as she might worry about what people will say. But there are many out there who tie the knot even at a late stage in life. At this age, you need companionship and nothing else.
