He even has a new girlfriend now. Seeing all this is making me wallow in self-pity. After all, I loved him but my parents were totally against our relationship. Ever since our break up, I've lost confidence in myself. I've started hating myself and that guy walks around as if nothing happened. As a result, I've become more and more shy. I even refrain from talking to people. Help.

Dear Rinil,
My dear girl, what is stopping you from moving on? It was your decision to split so why still hold on to him? He has done the right thing by getting on with his life and with a new girl. You are still stuck in a time wrap. The faster you wake up and smell the coffee, the better it will be for you. May be you need some time for your broken heart to heal. But there is nothing that can stop you from making new friends and meeting new guys. You are withdrawing yourself in a shell of your own accord, so why blame your ex? You alone can help yourself by getting out of your morose mood. You aren't getting any younger. u00a0
