The reason behind this is my dad. He's like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. In the morning, he's the sweetest person who ever lived. During the night, under the influence of alcohol, he talks nonsense and accuses my poor mother and me of things we never did. Some of my friends' dads do drink but none of them exhibit such outrageous behaviour every evening. What's wrong with him?

Dear Param,
It's clear that your father suffers from a drinking problem. Once he hits the bottle, he turns into a monster and has no control over what he utters. He needs help big time to overcome his addiction. You need to seek medical aid as well as counselling. It will be difficult but he has to overcome his habit. This is the only way out. If you tell him the stuff he tells you and your mom in an inebriated state the next morning, he won't even remember it as he was so drunk. When he is in his senses, tell him the havoc he unleashes in the evening and how it is disturbing your lives. If he wants peace at home, he has to overcome his addiction.u00a0
