If seeing your little one get all excited about an upcoming trip has gotten you worried wondering about how your trip will pan out, the following tips might help you calm your nerves and ensure you have a kid-friendly holiday.
Researching about the food that is available and what your kid would prefer would save you from future tantrums.
Slow down your pace. Plan your route according to the capacity of your youngest child. Trying to visit all possible spots in less time is not a good idea unless you don't mind tired and cranky kids.
Pre-book your hotel. Going around town looking for a good place to stay with luggage and kids in tow is not a good plan.
Check restrictions on hand luggage and carry only the amount of baby food necessary for the duration of flight in your hand luggage or you might have to leave behind the excess food.
Carry sunglasses and sun block for kids, a first aid kit including medicines for cold, fever and allergies. Insect repellent is a must.
Ensure that that your kids drink water at regular basis and stay hydrated while travelling. To prevent discomfort while flying due to air expansion in ear passages and sinuses, massage your child's ears from behind.
Check the hotel room for safe balconies and railings, loose hinges or wobbly tables and open wires. Get these fixed and make your room child-friendly.
