I would love to drive around Lonavala and Worli Seaface during the rains. Both are convenient to reach. One is above the sea level, in the hills, and the other is over the sea itself. But I dream of experiencing the rains at the foothills of the Himalayas, someday.
Monsoon is the best time to get behind the wheels and leave the maddening city life behind.
Every monsoon, I pick my car and hit the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. The highway is well-maintained, has a good connectivity to the Pink City and enough spots to enjoy the environment. There are many good dhabas on the way to enjoy pakoras and chai as well.

I am not a big fan of the rains, but since Paris is my favourite city, I'd choose to be there. Its beauty and charm makes me want to walk around at any time, be it rain or snow. A drive in the French countryside would be ideal too, so I can remain indoors and yet soak in the scenery.
I like driving around the monsoon lake in Lonavala. It's a beautiful view, if you choose the right spot with the lake and all the streams feeding it as it flows down the hills around.
My favourite place during monsoon and especially for a drive is Khandala. It gets misty and green and I love that.
