Join baby Olive Ridley turtles as they set out for their maiden walk into the sea at Velas in the Konkan

The lives of Olive Ridley baby turtles are inspirational. Every year, right after opening their eyes, the newly hatched babies of Olive Ridley turtles take the walk of life or death.
Despite their tiny size and slow speed, the baby turtles have to walk all the way from their nests into the sea. Some make it while others fall prey to predators, waiting to pounce on them. For these baby turtles, life is earned, and not given.
Offering such deep understanding of life and death, Jumpstart Outdoors, have organised a special tour to Velas village in Konkan, located about 230 Km from Mumbai. The village not only offers the warm hospitality, breathtaking landscapes and wildlife, but also makes one realise how blessed humans and their children are as compared to the rest of the animal kingdom.
