Attend a performance by The Sufi Gospel Project, the brainchild of Indian Classical vocalist Sonam Kalra that will raise funds for The Cuddles Foundation that works in the area of Paediatric Oncology
The Cuddles Foundation that aids cancer-afflicted children from low-income groups by giving them access to nutritional products to boost immunity to help them in their chemotherapy, has organised a fundraiser. The event will witness a performance by The Sufi Gospel Project, a music project by Indian Classical vocalist Sonam Kalra.
The event will raise funds for low-income children suffering from cancer
"I agreed to be part of this fundraiser as my mother and grandmother had cancer. So, I try to do whatever I can to work towards raising funds for cancer treatment," says Kalra.
The vocalist also mentions that many people don't realise the impact that chemotherapy can have on one's body; yet, it remains the only way to possibly control the spread of cancer.
"Therefore, it is important for the body to get the right nutrition between chemotherapy cycles and keep the immunity up. So, what Cuddles Foundation is doing by ensuring children get adequate nutrition is really commendable, especially as these are children of families who struggle to get treatment because of high costs," she shares.
At the event, Kalra will be presenting the repertoire created for The Sufi Gospel Project that she explains as "a genre of music that blends together the many voices of faith, through the use of song, music and the
spoken word."
