Sweet and savoury assorted buns available at the newly opened bistro
In the land of bun maska, it's not surprising to hear of hole-in-the-wall joints dedicated to (pardon the pun) bun-tastic delicacies sprouting in the city. Keeping up with this trend, the latest in town is Bun Bistro, a new spot in Kandivali, with outlets in East as well West.
In view of the primarily vegetarian populace of the suburb, the joint promises soft, filling buns that are 100 per cent vegetarian. The fare includes both savoury and dessert menus and is perhaps the second-of-its-kind after Lower Parel's Pappa Roti, known for their slightly sweet, large buns that are soft inside and crispy on the outside.
The dessert menu features options such as classic Nutella, pomegranate and raisin reduction, red velvet crumble and cream cheese, while the savoury options include creamy mushroom, herb and cheese burst, pav bhaaji and makhani. This is not all; the eatery has also included loaded fries and shakes in their menu to ensure patrons are not limited to their bread fare.
