Let the trumpets play, the drums roll. And mark the date if you haven't already. April 3 is when mid-day launches the first edition of The Guide Restaurant Awards 2018.
And with that, the city finally gets a badass food award. No favours done, no fear felt. A hundred per cent transparent nomination and selection process has ensured only the deserving win.
Mid-day bypassed a fancy celebrity jury, and let it's own team of dedicated food writers from its around town section - The Guide - who eat and drink anonymously through the year, find worthy winners.
